West Mids is Global Manufacturing Hub, say Swedes

The tube bending company ave found a report saying the how nine manufacturers from the Scandinavian country visited the West Midlands as part of a global tour which was set up by Birmingham Chamber of Commerce Group.

The Swedish companies visited Jaguar Land Rover in Solihull, BMW near Hams Hall and the Brandauer Precision Pressings. During these visits to the major manufacturing companies across the West Midlands UK, the Swedes learnt about the manufacturing procedures used by the above companies.

The report quotes Ritva Rosenback, who is a production manager for a company called KB Components based in Orkellijunga. Ritva Rosenback said: "I was impressed at how far into the lean production management process the BMW factory is. I have picked inspiration which I will be taking back to my company."
